Essential Oils

Since ancient times essential oils have been used to deal with the microbial world in a harmonious and medicinal way. Essential oils are also used in treating the emotional and spiritual aspects of the human being as well as physical conditions. The essential oils I use in my practice and also offer for sale through my association with Young Living Essential Oils are of the highest grade – processed in such a way as to keep in tact their molecular properties. I did not have the time to spend 25 years to become an Aroma Therapist. Instead I rely on the quality and integrity of Young Living to supply me with the best quality of essential oils and blends for my practice and my personal care.

Some of the oils I use frequently are lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, frankincense, wintergreen, and balsam, and many more. Young Living Essential Oils also makes many outstanding oil blends. Some of the blends that I use every day are: Peace and Calming, Thieves, Valor, RC, Raven, Melrose, to name a few. Thieves is a blend that is anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. Young Living Essential Oils makes an entire line of Thieves products which are very appropriate for this time: Thieves wipes, Thieves mouthwash, Thieves Household Cleaner, Thieves toothpaste, Thieves lozenges, Thieves spray, foaming hand soap, etc. Whenever my clients travel by plane long distances, they take the Thieves products with them to protect against catching airborne germs. The Household cleaner is the best anti-fungal product I have ever used. The mouthwash is terrific in preventing dental infections and inflammations.

Melrose is a powerful antiseptic that helps wounds heal after operations and injuries. RC and Raven are terrific for chronic sinus and bronchial conditions. Peace and Calming is very helpful for hyperactive children and insomnia and general anxiety. Joy is a blend that helps with depression and chronic sadness. These are a few of the many blends I use with my clients.

For other massage therapists I recommend you try lemongrass for ligaments, marjoram for muscles, lemon for lymphatics, lavender for inflammation, peppermint for soreness, Valor for grounding, and Peace and Calming for deep relaxation.
